[vlc] Question

I purchased a SiliconDust HomeRun network digital tuner.
My question is, how can I use VLC (which they say is compatible)
to display over the air shows from the local broadcasters?
Your product has so many capabilities and I am so new to this,
that I am getting lost with the countless options and settings.
VLC has worked flawlessly on all my local files. Great job!
