Hi,
For you to understand better what VLC media player and VideoLAN are:
- VLC is a media player as you know, this is an open source project
mainly written and maintained by volunteers.
- VideoLAN is a French non profit organisation which help people to
contribute on VLC project, which host ressources like development
servers
This mailing list is the user mailing list, posting on it allows others
to help you. Many VLC users and developers are subscribed to this
mailing list which archive is public.. Well, an open mailing-list to be
short. (as written on http://www.videolan.org/support/lists.php)
Just some lines to enlight you the bandwidth problem I think you will
have. As you may know, multicast is not really allowed on the Internet,
so your server(s) will have to send the same data to every listeners.
300 kbps * 10 000 = 2930 Mbps
My guess is you will need huge Internet connexions and probably several
servers.
Regards.
