Hello!
I stopped upgrading when the accessibility for blind user was not so important
anymore for the vlc team.
I know i complain but i am no programmer nor would i be one either.
The version 0.8.6 works enough for me and thats ok.'

Hi,

I have been using VLC player for a long time. It is a good thing, and has many
useful features. Today I have downloaded and installed a new version 1.0.2.

I must say, that in terms of GUI, it is in worse state than the previous
version, and I had to uninstall it and revert to my previous install. In the new
version I missed many things. In particular, while playing DVD:

* in full screen mode there is no way to get to any controls without leaving the
full screen. I was not able to change the volume, for example, or move the
position forward or backward. There is only a popup menu.

* in previous version I was able to change the volume while in the full screen
mode using a mouse wheel. Not anymore in this version. Mouse wheel does not work
in window as well.

* The "strip" volume control in a window is now placed on top. It is not
completely functional, and behaves erratically. To reproduce, open a DVD disk,
and then try to change the volume moving the mouse over the control. The old
volume control was good enough. At least there could be a way to get the
"classic" interface.

* I switched to an altrernative skin provided in the 1.0.2 download. In that
skin, the desktop window outside the VLC window is not being refreshed, and
there appeared no way to switch back. (Switching to the "default" skin had no
effect.)

I am on Windows XP, if that matters.

Thank you for the great work. But please please please do not break what has
already been working.

Regards,
Konstantin. ______________________________________________________
