[vlc] somehting wrong in new version

choose an item, and in the middle there is normally a 
play button, stop button, speaker volume etc.
When I upgraded to version 1.02 those buttons were
GONE. Please try.
I use google chrome browser. 
Finally I downgraded to V 0.9.9 in which that problem is
not there.
