[vlc] Fwd: Segmentation fault, vlc 1.0.2 in 9.04

When running vlc 1.0.2 on Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit, I get a segmentation fault
before anything really happens other than selecting choice of cover art.
 Christoph Korn is the packager and will be very interested if it relates to
packaging.  Thank you for any guidance on how to proceed.

Sorry, I cannot see what is going wrong from the output.

You may want to contact the developers directly.
Some of them hang out at #videolan (FreeNode server).

Tell me if the problem is caused by bad packaging. You can also contact me
else as I am interested what the problem is :)
