[vlc] Problem

Hello!
I can't open a file I was able to listen to yesterday. Its an ''.avi'' one
and I had no problem yesterday listening to it, but an hour ago I tried to
figure out where I was in my season 2 of Castle and I wasn't able to listen
to it and they wrote me : La lecture du fichier a échoué : VLC n'a pas pu
lire le fichier (Reading of the file didn't work : VLC couldn't read the
file) Could you tell me what to do? ( I uninstall it from my computer and
install it again but it is always sending me the same message. I've got the
version 1.1.3)

ps:I tried finding my answer in the forums and wiki but I couldn't find the
same
