[vlc] Abou video playing problem

sir,
     i am using vlc 1.0.5 in my laptop with configuration intel atom
proccessor, 1 gb ram , windows 7 ultimate x32 in it when i want to
open mkv file of resolution 1280x1024p the video stops stops someties and
then again playes i am facing this problem but the
same video is playing fine in windows media player.so plz help me about this
problem.
