[vlc] get rid of subtitles? Daniel Hunt

hows u ? 
i have the same problem as u :
" I have a torrent .avi file that has subtitles with it,
but I don't want to see them. I can't find the
associated subtitles file in my directory. " 
i was wondering if u were able to get rid of thm ?
