[vlc] VLC timeline scrolling issues with MPEG2 MXF SD and HD files?

First, thank you for your work on VLC! It¹s awesome.
We use VLC to play back MPEG2 video content of both SD and HD MXF files.
The files are generated (recorded in real time) by our Omnion broadcast
video server.
The issue we are having is that VLC will play the files just fine if we open
the file and just click ³play². If we try to scroll to a different part of
the file and play, the player won¹t play the file any longer. At this point
the file must be closed and re-opened and then VLC will again play the file
from the beginning if we don't try to scroll into the file.
Any ideas? Is there a known issue with long GOP MPEG2 files regarding this
problem? Any help would be appreciated. We would love to be able to use
VLC, but because of this issue, it has limited functionality for us.
Thank you in advance.
