Kenneth, I am curious. How old is your powerbook? In this day
and age of BluRay discs, HD mkv's, etc., I am wondering if
your machine is up to the task. Perhaps inadequate machine
resources is contributing to your current issues with VLC. I
would definitely encourage you to consider purchasing more
RAM for that machine.
