Hello David,

I just compiled the latest 64-bit version of VLC 1.1.1 for
Mac yesterday. I never use hotkeys for anything, but I was
curious after reading your post, so I looked at the advanced
settings by clicking "All", and then I looked at the basic
settings as well.

It is indeed true that under advanced settings, it is
impossible to configure the hotkeys. Nothing is grayed out on
1.1.1, but nothing happens when you click on a pull-down menu
in order to try to change a setting.

On the other hand, on the hotkeys pane under basic settings,
I counted 99 different functions that can be changed, and as
far as I can tell, they can all be edited by clicking on the
"Change" button on the lower right corner of the pane.
