[vlc] minor glitch

Downloaded V1.1.1 after years with V0.8

When playing *.avi file with a 'mono' sound track sound is chopped on default 'stereo' setting.
Clicking 'mono' clears chopping.  This didn't happen with V0.8.

Thought you might like to know.  Thanks for a great contribution.
