I built vlc-1.0.5 successfully under Windows XP following the guide from: http://wiki.videolan.org/Win32CompileMSYSNew.
I can start up vlc.exe from msys terminal and it plays media files well.

Unfortunately however, when I launch vlc.exe from file browser or windows terminal (i.e. the MS-DOS window integrated with Windows XP), there is no any window poped up. But I can still observe the "vlc" process from "Windows Task Manager" (cpu: 0, memory: 14532K). I tried "vlc -vvv -Iqt" but the result is same. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jared
