[vlc] VLC Player Server Info Question

Hello:
I have been using the VLC player for many years now and use nothing else to play all my content. Now I wish to utilize the server program that this has available. How can I use the server to use for people who wish to play the content I have on their iPhones?
Is this possibled? Is there a way they can access the server by using their browser on their iPhone and play?
