More so, while 1.0.6 had been released, download box still offers 1.0.5 :-)

Installer is not capable of binding .webm file extensions to vlc

Neither NPAPI nor ActiveX browser plugins seem to advertise compatibility  
with video/webm MIME type


Very slow playback of movie at

It seems it only makes 3-5 FPS instead of advertised 25.
But maybe it is the movie to blame, cannot compare playback

YouTube's example  Adriana Lima "come back" plays nice and smoothly OTOH
