Hello everybody,
I’m still not successful in compiling vlc (on Ubuntu 10.04) even though
I was following the instructions on http://wiki.videolan.org/UnixCompile
and installed the required autotools (including gettext)
when I go on with “bootstrap” it ends with “Successfully bootstrapped” –
but in the first lines it claims:
“GNU gettext appears to be missing or out-of-date. Please install or
update GNU gettext. Also check if you have cvs, a dependency of
autopoint. Otherwise, you will not be able to build a source tarball.”
So can anybody tell me what I should do?
Thanks, Clemens
