Hi,

I’ve been an avid fan of VLC Media Player for years and have recommended it to countless friends and family, not to mention the amount of people I come across on the internet. However...

After a virus breaking through the very best of my systems defenses I was left only with the option of a complete FDISK and reinstallation of my Windows 7 OS. So I’m sure you will realize my utter dismay when I head to your website to download the latest VLC Media Player, and for the first time I can remember I have to DESELECT additional “helper bar” aka MALWARE software being bundled with your player.

However things only got worse from here as the installer then installed CLICKPOTATO >>>WITHOUT<<< my concent... My anti-virus has found and removed this thing three times in the past 2 days since I installed VLC, and it just keeps comming back...

Before you shrug this off as an uneducated computer user downloading from a bad wesbite, I’m a software developer and I downloaded this from your official website. Whether you have bundled your installer with clickpotato or your website has been hijacked, something needs to be done and fast. You’ve already lost one follower (me) don’t make it hundreds more!

Regards,

Paul.
