[vlc] Time Remaining

Folks,

What is the procedure for changing the time displayed by VLC from elapsed to time remaining?

I've had the audio VLC mysteriously change from elapsed to remaining and then some time later, back to elapsed. No idea what I did to cause this to happen.

Please enlighten me!
