[vlc] Uninstall

Typically when one wants to uninstall a program, one can navigate to "add
remove programs" find it in the list, and uninstall it. I am running Windows
7 if you have not figured that out by now and when I scroll down to the
program "VLC" to do the uninstall, it does not show up as an installed
program. Where indeed it is installed. Has an icon on the desktop and an
entry in the directory tree in C:\Program Files VLC.
How do I get rid of it?
