[vlc] Can not forward in audio stream

Hello!
The swedish national radio sverigesradio.se does have the ability to 
listen to programs and shows afterwords.
So if you for example didn't have time you can listen to a football 
match 30 days later-).
However i am trying to open these streams in vlc.
Its ok with the  stream to open and play but i can not use the shortcuts 
to jump forwards or backwards in these streams.
I can go into the menu and select jump backwards or jump forwards.
This works but its mor tricke and i really do want the shortcuts and 
hotkeys to work.
The mouse is nothing to think about as i am a blind guy so i do not use one.
What can be causing these problems?
Anyone?
