[vlc] Video player

I love your product, it plays virtually any media, and it's copying from one format to another is great. But it seems that one of the greatest features of your product has been taken out...  the capability to play a partial video, why ?

Many times my download stops, or the download is so long that I want to see if what I'm downloading is worth continuing, which makes that special feature, VERY POWERFUL. Please put that back !!
