Well, since only "registered users" can post to this mail list, you must be
saying that this list posts comments from registered EMAIL ADDRESSES, not
registered USERNAMES and that magsoft at videolan.org is the real eddress of
someone on this list. And so are littlejohn at videolan.org, zorglub at videolan.org
and vlc at videolan.org.

If that is the "random spamming" to which Adrien was referring, and since all
the unwanted posts are forged as coming from videolan.org, there are several
options available.
1) You can block all posts with videolan.org eddresses, at least temporarily or
2) You can advise these users to change their eddresses to another isp and then
re-register the new eddresses or
3) You could implement a new procedure that only registered USERNAMES will be
allowed to post. This would be more difficult since each registered user would
need to be sure that his/her username appeared in the header FROM line, or
4) You could require BOTH username and eddress match the registered user list.

#4 would mean that a spammer could not just guess at random email addresses;
s/he would also have to guess the eddress owner's username. That would be a
pretty unlikely occurrence.
