Log Message:
* added a VS_sleep function in sleep.c, use it to replace all sleeps so that GDB
still works

* fatal bug correction in the database, the memory leak is back but will be
removed soon

* removed the DB_switchs_lock and DB_switchs_unlock function which weren't
useful any more

* cosmetic changes
