video steaming

I would like to be able to stream images that simulation software, running
under windows provide for us over the LAN Network( in real time ). Is it
possible with VideoLan software? If yes, how? If no, why? and also can you
give me some advice how can I do it?

If someone can give me some advice it is greatly appreciated
