We are thinking about doing it, but it will require much time of
development. Today, nothing has been made on the server-side of VideoLAN
for the support of MPEG4. 

On the other side, the client is able to read MPEG4, using the ffmpeg lib.

If you want, you can initiate the mpeg4 support for vls.
