I don't think you will find better documentation that the Vls User guide
(http://www.videolan.org/vls/doc/vls-guide.pdf) or The VideoLAN Quickstart
(http://www.videolan.org/doc/videolan-quickstart/videolan-quickstart.pdf).

What happens if you telnet the machine on the port 9999  ? That's the
way vls should be adminitrated.

If you have a specific question, please try to give as many details as
