[vls-devel] AC-3 in ATSC/DVB transport streams

Hi,
I'm using VLS 0.4.0 to multicast data from DVDs out to an ethernet
set-top-box. I find that with MPEG audio tracks, there is no problem.
However, with AC-3 audio, DVDs seem to contain an extra 4 bytes at the
start of each PES packet.
My understanding is that in DVB/ATSC compliant transport streams with
AC-3 audio, these 4 bytes are not present and that this header is only
found on DVDs.
Would it be possible for VLS to strip these out?
