All,

This morning I did an experiment with your HDTV on "normal" pc using the 
softwarerendering of VideoLAN. My findings sofar, streaming the file - 
does not realy work all the time (using VLS). If anyone is interested in 
testing (thanks to "GeoffP") with these files, I can put them on one of 
machines.

VideoLAN has no exact framerate counter, though 0.5.3 has specifications 
of the count of gedecoded images:
