It is quite easy, after a small talk with other members of the project, 
it seemed a good idea to have something coherent with the vlc's version.

As I would like to release by the end of the week and as the vlc-0.5.0 
has just been released, the future release should be vls-0.5.0.

It is quite normal since there would be great improvements:
  + command line
  + dvd under windows (maybe ...)
  + new dvb input

The branch was created from the previous called 0_4_5.

If anybody wants more details, please ask !
