or post it to the VideoLAN forum (forum.videolan.org). 
webmaster at videolan is not an approbate place for asking support 
questions.

Concerning your question: please delete both preferences files of VLC 
(a folder called "VLC" and file called "org.videolan.vlc.plist"; both 
are located in the Preferences-folder of your personal library [i.e. 
the library-folder in your user-directory]) and make sure you are using 
both the latest version of VLC and Mac OS X.
