[www-doc] subversion vlc

hi
when i try to download vlc with svn i get the following message:

admins-dator:~/vlc simon$ svn co svn://svn.videolan.org/vlc/trunk vlc-trunk
svn: Berkeley DB error while opening 'nodes' table for filesystem /var/lib/svn/vlc/db:
Cannot allocate memory

but when i try vls instead it starts downloading (thats good but the problem is i want vlc):

A  vls-trunk/test/mpeg_detect/test6.raw
^Csvn: Caught signal

I have mac OS 10.3.5 2*2ghz G5
svn version 1.0.8 and 1.1 (they both give the same result)
CVS works fine but according to the howto (http://developers.videolan.org/vlc/osx-compile.html) i need to use subversion
What should i do?
