I am no webmaster, but I think you can download 0.7.2 with an http or ftp 
client easiest.

check around ftp.videolan.org with your server-browsing-client to find it..

I think it is available under .../pub/vlc/ or .../pub/videolan/ something or 
something.. but it is in there.
