[www-doc] Unable to upgrade VLC player

I am a longtime user of VLC and have successfully updated a number of 
times.  I was using version 1.1.2 and attempted to update today to 
1.1.4.  After starting the update and authorizing the deletion of the 
1.1.2 I was taken to the install package for the new release.  There was 
NO field where I could acknowledge that I accepted the new licence! The 
install failed.  I had an old setup of version 1.1.2 (the luggage) in my 
downloads folder so I reinstalled that one.

When attempting to view an avi  I had viewed yesterday I found that the 
audio was lost!  I thought that the very recent install of a free Divx 
package might be to blame so I uninstalled that and then deleted and 
reinstalled the VLC 1.1.2.  Same problem!  I tried to enter a TRAC 
report but received an error that it could not be processed even though 
I had completed my registration as user Troller.

I am using this method to try to reach you another way.
