If you are referring to
  case 'uk': $locale = "uk_UA.utf8"; break;
(include/header.php):

locale -a|grep uk
uk_UA
uk_UA.utf8

So, on my local system there is only uk_UA.

Could work.
I can add it to *index.var and we will see ;-)
