Did you try the Moonlight encoder a year ago?  Playing a live stream
was a total no-go.  At each IDR frame, it would freeze up for half a
second or so.  They fixed it when I pointed it out.  FFmpeg works the
same way.  Problems don't get fixed unless someone mentions them.
