Well, as far as I'm concerned, the time it takes to review and merge
this patch is not a problem.
However, I'd like, if possible, to have some feedback about the way
this patch has been written, i.e.: tell me what the Altivec Writers
Elite have have to say about this patch so I can improve it
(regression tests do pass, so I guess you don't have to worry about
correctness).
