[x264-devel] Re: bit allocation algorithms among frames

I ran sdrc on tennis and made a movie of bit allocations:

Blue line is SSD for each of the 150 frames, green is frame size in bytes 
and scaled.

It is the tennis sequence again, using
x264_sdrc.0.pl with extra printouts and $search_qp=4 and same 
options as before.

final: 374968/375000, psnr=35.6542, encodes=3097

Just to compare, when $search_qp=2, I got

final: 374986/375000, psnr=35.7365, encodes=1389

(slightly better!)
