The footer is there, but your mail client isn't showing it to you; I
don't know exactly why not, but probably because you're viewing the HTML
part of the message, and the footer isn't HTML. Look at the message
source to see what I mean.

Similarly, Guillaume's message is base64, and my mail client doesn't
show the footer to me there either.
