[x264-devel] what is detailed rate control model(one pass abr and two pass)?

I am trying to do some work about the rate control and select x264 as platform.  I want konw where x264`s rate control model come from and what is difference between the model of JM(G012 or F086) and x264.  Thanks for you answer.
