Hi, you are free to use x264 in a commercial application as long as you 
comply with* *the GPL license. In previous discussions of a possible 
LGPL license change of x264, most core developers stated that they 
preferred the license as it is now. So it seems unlikely that x264 will 
be distributed under any other license then GPL.
