Mojtaba: that may be a little too negative.  I think it is a great
patch, and it is just a matter of diverting some maintainer time from
other things to get it in, which will happen eventually, and probably
the sooner the more people want it and ask for it.  Patience... yes I
know this has been in the works for a while, but the patch has evolved
to be a whole lot better along the way.  I don't think "no real chance
of making it into repository" is accurate at all.

Peter: second that, I would like to see it in as well.
