[x264-devel] frame buffer live encoding

Hi all,
i'm new,working on a live streaming server, based on live555. It gets the
frame buffer (rgb) from an application and i have to encode it as soon as i
can, and then the video encoded could be streamed by the server.
I'm also looking at the source code of x264, i'm manage to compress the
frame buffers in video frames and i have some question about..

in your opinion does it possible,i mean live encoding and streaming avoiding
file creation, with the use of x264?
how can i use the frame buffer as an input for the encoder?
