[x264-devel] Is 4:2:2 encoding supported?

No, and no time frame, unfortunately.  4:2:2 is a very large project,
with extra gotchas being the lack of an open source 4:2:2 decoder, as
well as the fact that most companies interested in funding alternate
subsampling support are most interested in 4:4:4, not 4:2:2 (which has
a totally different coding mode ever since the spec revision in 2007).
