[x264-devel] libx264.so.98 crash

It would not be possible to try a newer release because of all of the 
interdependencies for other installed rpms, requiring libx264.so.98.


This version is only a couple of weeks old.

The SEGV crash occurs because of unitialized data - manipulating data at 
location 0000.

Can I download a src rpm for a newer version and make it look like it's so.98 so 
other programs will use it?  For example, simply
rename the new library to libx264.so.98?
