The stream is muxed using either ffmpeg or mp4box (gpac), there is no difference. I tried
mp4 and mpeg transport stream using ffmpeg, mp4 using mp4box.
The stb can play from local or remote harddisk (nfs), there is no streaming involved.

Does the same thing happen for progressive material?
This should be an issue with general playback. It shouldn't have anything to do with interlaced.
