[x264-devel] Transrating with x264

Hi everyone!

I am trying to create a transrating model for a video sequence using ffmpeg (without transcoding). 

So far I have achieved decoding an h264 video sequence and reaching MB level after dequantification but before IDCT. My idea is to somehow start encoding from this exact point using x264.

Is this possible?? 
Any suggestions will be truly appreciated!
