[x264-devel] ES vs TS

Hello,

I would like to ask how does vlc chooses the aspect ratio, does it
look at the indication in TS or ES ?
In general there are several parameters in TS and ES and there is
overlapping: aspect ratio, SAR, DAR, codec type:
1. In decoding direction, does VLS use the parameters from TS or ES ?
2. In encoding is it just a matter of copying the parameters from ES to TS ?
