[x264-devel] does x264 support the conversion of 10bit to 8bit

x264 will encode any input video into the requested encoded bit-depth, 8,
10, or 12. That's not really the same thing as "conversion of 10bit to
8bit," since bit-depth of raw video is rather different from encoded
bit-depth. A decoder can output to any desired bit-depth.
