[Android] Translations

Hello!

I did not find official documentation on it so here is a question to
"translatable=false" on android: Will the original string be used, no
matter if there is a translated one?

My typical example is:

<string name="authors" translatable="false">[Many names], Walter
Heck.\nVLC Authors.</string>

which often becomes (german "Autoren"):

<string name="authors" translatable="false">[Many names], Walter
Heck.\nVLC Autoren.</string>

Besides having this one splitted (optional) I want to know the
interpretation of 'translatable="false"'. Is it:
a) No need to translate, translation will be used if available
b) No need to translate, translation will always be thrown away

I am going to use the attached script to check for typical bugs in the
translations. The generated file (android_update.xml) will be mailed to
the transifex translators. They can simply upload it to the translation
and got their translation for the mentioned strings updated.

I really need some more information before advising the translators.

Regards

Christoph
