I believe your streams need to be resampled at lower rate to save the bandwidth.

Subject: [streaming] unclas - VLS streaming rate
Greetings all,
I am using VLS to stream mpegs over a test network which are being
received by multiple VLC clients. This is allowing me to conduct multicast
testing over varying media at differing rates. The software is terrific and
has performed flawlessly thus far.
One question though....Can I "rate limit" the multicast streams from
VLS or will the mpeg file I am using need to be resampled?? I'm not sure of
the mechanics (like how VLS determines the streaming rate) so am having
trouble getting my head around this.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Ian
